BYRON SHIRE IS A FOOD LOVERS PARADISE!

Delicious culinary delights served in slick urban style cafes and restaurants, fun and funky or rainforest retreats?

You can have it all in the Byron Shire and relax in one of the many outstanding restaurants or cafes situated in Byron Bay, Bangalow, Mullumbimby or other popular towns in the shire. You can have a table beachside with an ocean view, sidewalk style for a bit of celebrity spotting or recline in a well loved sofa sipping a soya latte in the forest and gaze at natures splendour.

The multicultural cuisine on offer in the Byron Shire is literally mouth-watering with "Milk and Honey" in Mullumbimby serving up their now famous pizzas with toppings such as spinach and fetta with caramelised onion best enjoyed with the generous rocket and parmesan salad. BYO your own quaff to this one! If that hasn't whet your appetite Milk and Honey owner and chef Chris delivers some of the best home made desserts in the Southern Hemisphere. And it's only a short stroll to some excellent Mullumbimby real estate. Not bad for a country town! If you are a Sushi lover get down to "O Sushi" in Byron Bay and vegetarian or not check out the Teriyaki Tofu served with complimentary green tea and a cheeky smile. A bit more at the higher end of town in Bangalow is Utopia a big favourite with locals and tourists where they serve scrumptious breakfasts and delectable desserts with an extensive drinks menu. Dinner is available on Friday and Saturday nights. Back in Byron Bay you can drop into "Dish" for an outstanding menu or simply a cocktail before a night out.

If you would rather cook your own meals Thursday mornings at the Farmers market is the go for the best local and mostly organic produce but allow plenty of time because the locals love a chat and you could spend a bit of time eating your way through all that delicious produce.

Bon Appetite!
